9. By selling a purse for ₹250, Ranjana loses one-sixth of what it cost her. Find
(i) the cost price of the purse

10. If the cost price of 11 shirts is equal to the selling price of 10 shirts, find the percentage profit or loss.

18. The difference in prices when a commodity is sold at a profit of 4% and at a profit of 6% is ₹3. Find the selling prices of the commodity in the two cases.
19. A man buys a plot of land at ₹ 3,60,000. He sells one third of the plot at a loss of 20%. Again, he sells two -thirds of the plot left at a profit of 25%. At what price should he sell the remaining plot in order to get a profit of 10% on the whole ?
20. A shopkeeper bought locks at the rate of 8 locks for ₹34 and sold them at the rate of 12 locks for ₹57. Calculate:
(i) his gain per cent, and
(ii) the number of locks he should sell to earn a profit of ₹45.
[Hint. Let the number of locks bought be the LCM of 8 and 12]
21. Dinesh sold his motorcycle to Naveen at a loss of 28%. Naveen spent ₹1680 on its repairs and sold the motorcycle to Saran for ₹ 35,910 making a profit of 12.5%. Find the cost of the motor cycle for Dinesh.
22. The C.P. of two watches taken together is ₹840. If by selling one at a profit of 16% and the other at a loss of 12%, there is no gain or loss in the whole transaction then find the C.P. of each watch.
