S.chand Class 8 Maths Solution Chapter 14 Construction of Quadrilaterals Exercise 14 B

 Exercise 14 B

Question 1

Construct a quadrilateral :

1. $A B C D$ in which $A B=4.5 \mathrm{~cm}, B C=3.5 \mathrm{~cm}, A D=3 \mathrm{~cm}, A C=5 \mathrm{~cm}$ and $B D=4.5 \mathrm{~cm}$.

2. $P Q R S$ in which $Q R=7 \mathrm{~cm}, P R=P S=5.5 \mathrm{~cm}, R S=4.5 \mathrm{~cm}$, and $Q S=9.5 \mathrm{~cm}$.

3. $A B C D$ in which $A B=6.8 \mathrm{~cm}, A D=5.8 \mathrm{~cm}, A C=6.9 \mathrm{~cm}, B D=7.3 \mathrm{~cm}$ and $B C=4.1 \mathrm{~cm}$.

4. Is it possible to construct a quadrilateral $A B C D$ in which $A D=3 \mathrm{~cm}, C D=3 \mathrm{~cm}, D A=7.5 \mathrm{~cm}$, $A C=8 \mathrm{~cm}$ and $B D=4 \mathrm{~cm}$ ? If not, give reason.
