Exercise 13C
Question 1
Sol :
Total number of students=60+12+36+72=180
Angle of students transport by bus=60180×360=120°
Angle of students transport by car=12180×360=24°
Angle of students transport by scotter=36180×360=72°
Angle of students transport by wallk=72180×360=144°
∴Angles are 120° , 24°, 72° , 144°
<Diagram to be added>
Question 2
Sol :
Total students=20+15+10+9+6=60
Angle of students for football=2060×360
=120°
Angle of students for basketball=1560×360
=90°
Angle of students for hockey=1060×360
=60°
Angle of students for batminton=960×360
=54°
Angle of students for boxing=660×360
=36°
<Diagram to be added>
Question 3
Sol :
Total percentage=(50+15+25+10)%=100%
Entertainment in angle=50100×360
=180°
News in angle=15100×360
=52°
Sports in angle =25100×360
=90°
Others in angle=10100×360
=36°
<Diagram to be added>
Question 4
Sol :
Let, the angle of the sector representing in the population of the city D = x°
We know that,
⇒120°+96°+60°+x°=360°
Or, x=360°–270°=84°
∴ A sector of 120° presents 100 lakh population
∴ A sector of 1° presents 100120=56 population.
Similarly, D sector 940 presents =56×84= 70°
Question 5
Sol :
<Figure to be added>
(a)
We know that-
⇒2x+5x+81+55=360°
⇒7x+136°=360°
⇒7x=360°-136°=224°
x=2247=32° (proved)
(b)
The percentage of the se group=81360×100
=452=2212%
(c)
Number of students who choose mathematics=48
Total angle of section without mathematics=55°+81°+(2×32)°
=55°+81°+64°=200°
Total angle of section with mathematics=(5×32)=160°
∴160° represents 48 pupils
∴1° represents =48160
∴200° represents =48160×200=60 pupils
∴Number of students without math=60
∴Total group of students=60+48=108 pupils
Question 6
Sol :
<Figure to be added>
∵360° represents 800 students
1° represents 800360 students
(a) Students come in public bus =800360×54
=120 pupils
(b) The angle of section of the students who are come on foot
=360°-(216°+18°+54°)
=360°-288°
=72°
Total angle who do not use institute bus =800360×144
=320°
(c) The students angle who come on foot=72°
∴Number of student who come on foot=800360×72
=162 pupils
